I joined as a Research Associate on the WISERD Education, Language & Identity project while completing my doctoral thesis in July 2016. The ESRC funded project examined sub-state international democracy promotion while based at the International Politics department at Aberystwyth University. I also hold an MScEcon in Welsh Politics and Society, and had previously spent over five years working at the National Assembly for Wales.

I am currently working alongside the other members of the Education, Language & Identity project, exploring understandings of identity that young people acquire from statutory and voluntary educational institutions.
As part of the WISERD Centre for Welsh Politics and Society Seminar Series, Dr Taulant Guma from the Department of Geography and Earth Sciences at Aberystwyth University presents emerging findings from the WISERD/Civil Society project on ‘Migrants, Minorities and Engagement in Local Civil Society’.
