Dr Robert (Bob) Smith

Senior Lecturer in Housing (part-time) in the School of Planning and Geography. An experienced teacher and researcher he has undertaken research on housing for bodies including UK Government departments, the Welsh Government, the Housing Corporation, Audit Commission, Tai Cymru, Shelter, Crisis, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and individual local authorities and housing associations.  A corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Housing he has served on a number of Welsh Government advisory and Ministerial task and finish groups. He is a founder member of Welsh Housing Quarterly and a Board member of a Cardiff based housing association. His research interests include housing policy (including housing policy in Wales), housing needs, housing and regeneration and issues of housing governance and service delivery.
