Professor Ronan Lyons

Ronan is Professor of Public Health at Swansea University,  Honorary Consultant with Public Health Wales NHS Trust, and a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales. (Centre for  Improvement of Population Health through E-records Research (CIPHER) and Farr Institute of Health Informatics Research, Swansea University) 

He is Director of the Centre for Improvement of Population Health through E-records Research (CIPHER), Co-Director of the DECIPHer UK Public Health Research Centre of Excellence and Co-Director of the Health Information Research Unit for Wales.  The focus of Ronan’s research is the use of routine data in cohorts, trials and in the evaluation of natural experiments and complex interventions, including some of the largest studies in the UK on housing and health.
