WISERD is committed to capacity building within the social sciences in Wales, the UK and internationally.  The Institute offers a series of workshops, seminars and conferences, aimed at those with an interest in the social sciences.

This free day event is targeted at early career researchers working in the field of dementia research. It brings together those starting out their careers in dementia research with key stakeholders (health and social care practitioners, community groups, third sector organisations and people living with dementia and those who support them) to foster lasting collaboration between researchers, those who participate in research and those who use research findings to improve their practice.

This one day event for researchers lead by Dr Nick Bearman, Clear Mapping Co, will cover an introduction to R, how to load and manage spatial data and how to create maps using R and RStudio.
