I spent my early career in hospitality management whilst studying for a degree in Business at Swansea University. Post qualification I gained valuable experience working in the City of London for Lloyds TSB and Commerzbank AG’s corporate lending arms before completing a PGCE and beginning a career in Education.

I started working as a lecturer and course leader at the City of Bath College and subsequently completed my NQT whilst teaching at the Castle School in Thornbury. Later I taught across multifarious short-term contracts in a range of contrasting Educational institutions in Wales and the South West of England.

Most recently I have spent some time working in three Cardiff University departments, the Registry, the School of Medicine and a post with Health Wise Wales, a University based public health research project. I also recently obtained a Master’s in social and Public Policy and am now thoroughly enjoying the challenge of PhD research in a rapidly changing context.

Outside of my academic work and interests, I quite uninterestingly enjoy the usual endeavours. These include hiking, books, cinema, astronomy, physics, history, to name but a few.
