Nikki is a WISERD affiliated PhD student based at Cardiff University and funded by the Welsh Government and ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership. Prior to starting her PhD, Nikki worked for many years as a Researcher within the Welsh School of Architecture. Principally interested in public perceptions, she worked on a range of environmental, housing, neighbourhoods and health research projects, many of which focused on the delivery, perceptions and impact of local policies and interventions. She also held the position of module leader for the Research and Assessment Methods component of the MSc in Environmental Design. Nikki has a degree in Public Administration, an MSc (Social Sciences) in Ecology and Society and also has experience of working for and with a number of local authorities. With a keen interest in education, Nikki has served as both a parent and community school governor for more than 10 years and has much voluntary experience working within primary schools.
