Horse Race Politics is a gamified forecasting website, developed initially for my PhD project under the name Fantasy Forecast in 2023. As a part of the £1.2m Welsh Election Study bid won by Professor Matthew Wall, Dr Anwen Elias and Dr Bettina Petersohn, funding was allocated to produce a new iteration of the website. Working alongside our industry partners Focus Games, a game design company based in Glasgow, we are now moving out of development and into testing ahead of a public launch in February and the elections themselves in May. This lunchtime seminar aims to provide an overview of the new site’s design and raise awareness of the platform within the network.
