Community Building Workshops were held on 10 and 17 May 2013 at Bangor University to explore some of the key issues concerning community stability.  The first, Community Building and Governance, discussed some of the key aspects in community building, in what undermines social cohesion and which policies and institutions have created stable communities. It focused on governance, public institutions and policies.

This workshop discussed some of the key aspects in community building, in what undermines social cohesion and which policies and institutions have created stable communities. It focused on civil society, on charities and mutual aid groups.

Each workshops had two morning sessions with papers from academics, one historical and one on contemporary policy. The afternoon session included four speakers / practitioners who provided an outline reply, to both the questions and the morning papers, based on their experiences.
