In this seminar I will give an update on a project to design a new individual level homelessness data collection system for Wales.
A new data system is required in order to improve the evidence base on which to design better services and policy responses to homelessness. I outline the current landscape of homelessness data in Wales, before going on to explore international examples of data collection. By learning from these systems globally, I have generated several options for a homelessness data system in terms of how data are collected and reported. These options will be outlined and seminar attendees given the opportunity to input into the design of the new system.
