Patrick Sturgis is Professor of Research Methodology in the Division of Social Statistics at the University of Southampton and the Director of the ESRC National Centre for Research Methods. He has research interests across a range of areas in the social sciences including public opinion and political behaviour, processes of inter and intra-generational social mobility and public attitudes towards and engagement with science and technology, survey methodology and statistical modelling.
