This course introduced participants to the types of secondary data that are available for them to download from the UK Data Archive/ESDS, and the types of analysis that are possible following the acquisition of such data. In the course of the day participants identified relevant data to download from the catalogue, downloaded some example survey data sets and then loaded the data into a suitable statistical package to perform some basic types of statistical analysis
