A demonstration of the WISERD DataPortal (WDP) http://data.wiserd.ac.uk/dataportal/ and how it can be used by third sector organisations for Civil Society for mapping social and economic data made freely available as data feeds by UK and Welsh Governments.

Facilitator: Dr. Scott Orford

WISERD’s DataPortal allows anyone to map their own data alongside social and economic government data. This workshop will demonstrate the WISERD DataPortal, showing how it can be used by third sector organisations to map social and economic data made freely available as data feeds by the UK and Welsh Governments.

The demonstration will show how the WISERD DataPortal Mapping Service can be used by civil society organisations. This will be followed by a question and answer session where workshop participants will be able to provide feedback on the DataPortal Mapping Service and what further features or data they would like to see included to better meet their needs.

Who should attend?

This event is for those who work in voluntary sector or civil society organisations, policy makers and researchers.

For those who can’t make the workshop the demonstration will also be available as a live webcast on the WISERD website and we will be taking part in a Q&A on Twitter.
