The workshop took over two days: Thursday 12-5pm, Friday 9am-4pm.

The workshop was organised around four themes:

  1. Methodologies and Methods for the Study of Security, Conflict and Justice. Topics include: Research design, Doing fieldwork, and Elite interviewing.
  2. Issues and Areas in Security, Conflict and Justice. Topics include: Conflict and peace-building, Post-war reconstruction, International Law for IR Research, Civil Wars.
  3. Approaches and Concepts in Security, Conflict and Justice. Topics include: Gender and Security, Security Discourses, Analytic Philosophy, and Normative IR Theory.
  4. Career Building. Topics include getting published and surviving the PhD.
