As part of the WISERD Civil Society Seminar series, Tom Jones OBE presents an insider’s perspective on the role of civil society organisations in policy-making in Wales, the UK and Europe.
Tom Jones is Vice-President and former Chair of the Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) and a member of the European Economic and Social Committee. He has been involved in a large number of civil society organisations and public bodies, including as Chair of the National Lottery Charities Board for Wales, Chair of the Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust, Vice-President of the Farmers Union of Wales, and as a member of the S4C Authority, the Countryside Council for Wales, the Richard Commission, and the First Minister’s European Advisory Group. His particular interests focus on agriculture and rural development.
