Social research in the pandemic and beyond
This weeks lunchtime seminar will be delivered by Ceri Davies, NatCen
The seminar will open a discussion with participants about the short and medium term implications of designing and conducting social research in the current pandemic. Many of us find ourselves in unchartered waters and needing to make sensible decisions with limited information and an absence of certainty; fieldwork, ethics, findings… Increasingly, we are also faced with unknowns about the impact of the pandemic on how we do research in the future – methodologically but also what questions we focus on as we head towards a ‘new normal’.
