Led by academic partners at Exeter University, IDEAL (Improving the experience of dementia and enhancing active life: living well with dementia) is a large-scale dementia research project which began in 2014 and ends in 2023. WISERD has contributed to the IDEAL study, with the aim of understanding the reasons why particular social and psychological factors shape people’s experience of living with dementia, for better or worse.
The project works with people with dementia and carers to understand what makes a difference to living a good life with dementia, how this changes over time, and how to improve the experience of living with dementia.
You can learn more about the findings from IDEAL by taking part in this series of free public webinars over the coming months.
All webinars will:
- involve experts by experience as well as researchers
- be recorded and later shared on the IDEAL YouTube channel
- begin at five past the hour and end at five to, enabling you to get to and from other meetings
- provide an opportunity for audience Q&A
