Dr French’s substantive research focus is the relationship between paediatric health conditions and social measures, particularly the links between type 1 diabetes and education. Rob’s methodological background is in multilevel statistical approaches for the analysis of linked data, and the information governance that support that data access and linkage.
Dr French leads the Education theme of Administrative Data Research Wales (ADRW). This includes research projects on special educational needs, the relationship between household socioeconomic status and educational attainment, and children missing from education.
