Dr Robin Mann (WISERD Bangor) will represent WISERD at the upcoming National Eisteddfod to be held in The Works, Ebbw Vale from 31 July to 7 August. He will deliver a presentation entitled WISERD: Changing the Research Landscape in Wales as part of the Cardiff University exhibition.
WISERD will also be represented in the form of work undertaken by Dr Kate Moles, WISERD, Cardiff University; Dr Angharad Saunders, University of Glamorgan; Dorian Morgan and Aled Rowlands, BBC Wales, who have been working in the Ebbw Vale community to produce three audio walks around Ebbw Vale. An all Welsh made Passive house (Ty Unnos) designed by the Design Research Unit Wales in the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University will also be exhibited and used as visitor centre alongside other Passinhaus’ outside the Eisteddfod site in Ebbw Vale from 31st July 2010. Steve Coombs and a member of the WISERD Housing Thematic Group will be demonstrating/exhibiting their Ty Unnos house during the Eisteddfod. Ty Unnos will be opened by Jane Davidson AM, Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing, on site at Ebbw Vale on Wednesday 4th August.
