WISERD Director, Professor Sally Power, has been elected to sit on the British Educational Research Association (BERA) Council.
BERA is a membership association and learned society committed to advancing research quality, building research capacity and fostering research engagement. They aim to inform the development of policy and practice by promoting the best quality evidence produced by educational research.
Over the years, WISERD researchers have regularly presented their work at BERA’s annual conferences and contributed to the BERA blog. The WISERD research project Successful Futures for All: Explorations of Curriculum Reform also led to the bilingual publication of a special issue of BERA’s Curriculum Journal.
On being elected, Professor Sally Power said: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to BERA’s mission of building the quality, capacity and impact of education research across the UK and in Wales in particular.”
