Our summer conference 2023 will showcase the good practice of the Welsh housing and open a discussion on how we can do more inside and outside the housing sector.
The event is open not just to those working in housing but also to anyone with an interest in putting foundational economics into practice.
We will explore together:
• Social innovation by the Welsh housing sector in foundational liveability by supporting incomes, essential services and social infrastructure in our communities.
• How to do more by building local collaborative alliances and how to spread and share our learning across housing and into other sectors.
Reports on social innovations in the sector: Jas Baines (Hafod), Steve Cranston (Welsh Government Net Zero), Simone Devinett (RHA Wales), Lorraine Oates (Merthyr Valleys), Wyn Pritchard (Net Zero and skills), Victoria Keen (Karbon Homes, Newcastle)
Discussants and facilitators: Alan Brunt (Bron Afon), Jonah Earle ( People’s Economy), Debbie Green (Coastal Housing), Professor Kevin Morgan (University of Cardiff), Professor Ian Rees Jones (WISERD), Stuart Ropke (Community Housing Cymru)
Alliance Organisers: Prof Karel Williams, Jo Quinney and Keith Edwards
