WISERD TCB- Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation (WIMD) 2019 – What does WIMD measure and how can it be used?

This training event will inform users about WIMD 2019; what WIMD is, data developments in 2019, results, uses of WIMD and products that we have published.

The session will include:

• general information about WIMD
• information on ‘do’s and don’ts’ when analysing and interpreting WIMD data
• information on the range of WIMD data products and tools available
• Examples of WIMD being used across the board in Government, academia, the third sector and social science research
• A question and answer opportunity to discuss how WIMD can be used in specific areas of research, and the wider potential for WIMD to be used in conjunction with other secondary data set
