In 2020, Christina commenced her PhD studies in Criminology and Criminal Justice in Bangor University after being awarded a WISERD PhD studentship as part of the ESRC funded WISERD Civil Society Research Centre. In 2020, she received an MA in Comparative Criminology and Criminal Justice (Distinction) while in 2019, she gained a BA in Criminology and Criminal Justice (First Class). Christina’s research interests mainly involve far-right politics, political violence, terrorism, hate crimes and immigration.
PhD Thesis’ Title: Anti-immigration Vigilantism by the far right at the National Borders: The case of Greece. This project aims at exploring the link between anti-immigration vigilantism that takes place in the Island of Lesvos, Greece and the far-right. The project adopts a qualitative methodological approach.
The project is supervised by Prof. Martina Feilzer and Dr. Bethan Loftus.
