Dion Curry joined Swansea University in 2014 after stints at Erasmus University Rotterdam and working as a policy consultant for the European Commission in Vilnius, Lithuania. Originally from Canada, he completed his PhD at the University of Sheffield, exploring the impacts of multi-level governance on public service delivery in Scotland and British Columbia, Canada. At Swansea University, he is the Research Lead for the School of Social Sciences and runs the MA Public Policy programme in the Department of Politics, Philosophy and International Relations. He also has a cat named Bill, who is almost as grumpy as his owner.
Research Interests: Dion’s current research focusses on various aspects of political trust and governance. He explores how political legitimacy is conferred through trust in experts, the general public and government. He also does work on disruptive technologies, mainly blockchain, and how they have an impact on governance processes.
