Lowri works in WISERD’s Education Data Lab and works with Administrative Data Research Wales to explore pupil outcomes using linked administrative data. She is particularly interested in Special Education Needs (SEN) identification and provision, and the factors which influence whether children receive the support they need at school, including demographic and family factors.

Lowri is experienced in public and professional involvement and engagement in research. She has worked extensively with public contributors and the third sector, and has also published reports for Welsh and UK policy makers.

Lowri completed her PhD in Psychological Medicine at Cardiff University in 2024.
