In this school conference, we highlight how social science research helps us make sense of everyday life and everyday problems. We will focus on three main themes: crime and justice; poverty and social exclusion; and social change. We will discuss these broad themes using examples of everyday life that secondary school children can relate to and using hands-on workshop activities.
