Matt Jarvis

Matt is nominated to be a WISERD Affiliate as a member of the Management Group of the Centre for Welsh Politics and Society / WISERD@Aberystwyth. Matt is Senior Lecturer in Literature and Place in the Department of English and Creative Writing and Deputy Head of the Graduate School at Aberystwyth University and holds a professorial appointment as Anthony Dyson Fellow in Poetry at the University of Wales Trinity St David’s. Matt’s interests are in Wales Studies, especially developing interdisciplinary work that can combine social science and humanities perspectives on creative methods. He is working with Anwen Elias on using creative methods to engage people in discussion of Wales’s constitutional future and undertook a sector-wide review for the Learned Society of Wales on the health of Wales Studies. He is co-chair of the Association for Welsh Writing in English.
