Paul Blyton has researched widely in aspects of Employment Relations, in the UK, Europe, North America and Australia. A particular focus has been issues connected to working time and work-life balance. He has held visiting Fellowships in Canada and Australia, and has acted as an expert advisor to the OECD and ILO. He has published more than sixty articles in academic journals and his many books include The Realities of Work (with Mike Noon), The Dynamics of Employment Relations (with Peter Turnbull) and Key Concepts in Work (with Jean Jenkins).
