Biography
Their interest in sport started from an early age through competitive swimming and they went on to train as an athlete for 15 years. They took brilliant experiences away from their time in sport and are passionate about helping women and girls to have the same experiences and benefits at whichever level they play or are involved with. Going on to study International Relations at undergraduate level, they later completed a master’s in Library and Information Sciences. Through both degrees they optioned topics on my interest in gender equality. Studying at PhD level has allowed them to combine their passion for sport and interest in gender equality.

Current Research
They are an ESRC funded PhD researcher in the School of Social Sciences based in WISERD. With a research/thesis topic is gender equality in Welsh sports policy, they’re specifically examining women sports leaders and policy makers, how they are represented, their experience of Welsh gender equality policy-making and their effect on gender equality in sports policy making in Wales.
