Over the past six years, the WISERD Education Multi Cohort Study (WMCS) has made an important contribution to understanding the lives of young people in Wales, by conducting an annual survey of over 1,000 young people, aged eight to 18-years-old.
A key part of the data we’ve been gathering is around our young people’s educational experiences and over twenty primary and secondary schools from across Wales are involved in the study.
We’ve recently produced a set of bilingual postcards with some of our key findings.
Who is happier at school – boys or girls? What are the best and worst things about living in Wales? What do young people think about their school councils?
Our new postcards answer these questions and more.
The postcards were launched at an event in November 2018, where WISERD researchers came together with practitioners, third-sector organisations and policymakers to share the findings and identify key areas for further research.
The postcards will also form part of the Economic and Social Research Council’s (ESRC’s) suite of resources for schools.
