Mae’r Arolwg Sgiliau a Chyflogaeth (2012) yn casglu data am beth mae pobl yn ei wneud yn y gwaith, pa sgiliau maen nhw’n eu defnyddio a sut maen nhw’n gweithio.
Dyma’r chweched mewn cyfres o arolygon sampl cynrychioliadol o weithwyr ym Mhrydain sy’n ymestyn yn ôl dros 30 mlynedd. Mae’r arolygon trawstoriadol hyn yn cynnig ffordd o gofnodi ac egluro’r newidiadau ym mhatrymau ansawdd swyddi a sgiliau dros amser.
Yn 2012, arolygwyd cyfanswm o 3,200 o weithwyr gyda 1,108 ohonynt yn cael eu holi dwy flynedd yn ddiweddarach mewn arolwg dilynol byrrach. Mae’r gyfres yn rhan hanfodol o seilwaith ymchwil y gwyddorau cymdeithasol sydd wedi bod yn sail i lawer o gyhoeddiadau a restrir isod.
